CEDAR CITY, Utah-Brennen Hunt’s 14 points led the way as the South Sevier Rams surged past APA West Valley 55-37 Friday at the Hodson Classic at Cedar City High School. Javier Prieto posted 14 points in the loss for the Eagles.
Cowboy Classic
KANAB, Utah-Burke Mickelsen posted 22 points and the North Sevier Wolves edged the Slam Academy (Nev.) Bulls 72-71 at the Cowboy Classic Friday at Kanab High School. Ethan Fielding added 21 points on five 3-pointers in the win for the Wolves.
KANAB, Utah-Sam Orton amassed 19 points and 9 rebounds and the Kanab Cowboys smacked Waterford 71-53 at Kanab High School Friday at the Cowboy Classic. Paul McSlarrow had 22 points in the loss for the Ravens.
Smithfield Classic
BEAVER, Utah-Paora Winitana led the way with 18 points and the American Heritage Patriots downed Milford 52-47 at the Smithfield Classic Friday. Zach Sherwood had a game-high 19 points for the Tigers in defeat.
BEAVER, Utah-Jake Eichorn stepped up with 14 points and the Beaver Beavers pounded Tintic 68-39 Friday at the Smithfield Classic. Gavin Campbell’s 12 points led the Miners in the loss.
Non-Region
DUCHESNE, Utah-Gavin Davis and Kason Grant had 14 points apiece as the Duchesne Eagles edged Piute 54-53 in non-region boys basketball action Friday. Kelby Jessen’s 23 points led the Thunderbirds in the loss.
