Round 2 1A Playoffs
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Trey Clark and Joel Romo each posted eight strikeouts as the Bryce Valley Mustangs outlasted Intermountain Christian 5-4 in Round 2 of the 1A baseball playoffs at Nelson Field of Spanish Fork.
The No. 5 seed Mustangs advance to play No. 4 Wayne at 2:00 pm at Nelson Field in the state quarterfinals.
SPANISH FORK, Utah-McCoy Harris had the sole RBI of the game and the Valley Buffaloes outlasted Tintic 1-0 Saturday at Nelson Field in Round 2 of the 1A baseball playoffs. Hunter Cox posted eight strikeouts in victory for the Buffaloes.
No. 6 Valley next meets No. 3 Tabiona Tuesday at 11:45 am at Nelson Field in the state quarterfinals.

UTAH-The Gunnison Valley Bulldogs swept Wayne in straight sets 3-0 Saturday in a non-region volleyball tournament. The Bulldogs prevailed 25-13, 25-15, 25-13.
UTAH-Kennedi Knudsen had 23 kills to lead the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs over Milford 3-1 Saturday in non-region volleyball tournament action. Gunnison prevailed 19-25, 25-16, 25-17, 25-18.
UTAH-Kennedi Knudsen had 29 kills and the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs swept Duchesne 3-0 Saturday in non-region volleyball tournament action. The Bulldogs prevailed 25-20, 26-24, 25-23.
UTAH-Kennedi Knudsen had 21 kills as the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs swept Tabiona 3-0 Saturday in a non-region volleyball tournament. Gunnison won 25-20, 25-23, 25-15.
UTAH-The Duchesne Eagles swept Wayne 3-0 Saturday in a non-region volleyball tournament. The Eagles won 25-11, 25-18 25-11.
UTAH-The Parowan Rams swept Wayne 3-0 Saturday in a non-region volleyball tournament. Parowan won 25-19, 25-22, 25-15.
UTAH-The Duchesne Eagles swept Manti 3-0 Saturday in a non-region volleyball tournament. Duchesne won 25-18, 25-23, 25-22. Adrienne Shelley had 10 kills in the loss for Manti.
UTAH-Adrienne Shelley had 11 kills as the Manti Templars beat Altamont 3-0 Saturday in non-region volleyball tournament action. The Templars prevailed 25-17, 25-19, 25-20.
UTAH-The Manti Templars bested Milford 3-1 Saturday in a non-region volleyball tournament. Manti won 25-19, 14-25, 25-19, 25-17. Cali Alder had 31 assists in the win for Manti.
UTAH-Adalee Olson had 13 kills and the Manti Templars beat Tabiona 3-1 Saturday in non-region volleyball tournament action. Manti won 25-14, 25-21, 24-26, 25-23.
