Juab Wrestling Announces Team Camp Dates With Special Guest

NEPHI, Utah-Wednesday evening, Juab Wrestling announced it will host a youth team camp July 7 and 8 with assistant coaches from Wyoming conducting drills.

This camp will be at Nebo View Elementary School, located at 380 E. 200 North in Nephi.

July 7, campers will learn from Wyoming assistant coach McCade Ford. Ford is a 2-time NJCAA All-American at Northwest College of Powell, Wyo. after which he wrestled for the Cowboys.

Sessions on July 7 will be as follows:

8:00-8:45 am, registration

9:00-11:00 am, Session One (all ages)

1:00-3:30 pm, Session Two (all ages)

5:00-7:00 pm, live practice (high school only)

July 8, campers will learn from Branson Ashworth, a native of Spanish Fork and the Cowboys’ director of player development.

While wrestling for the Cowboys, Ashworth qualified for the NCAA Championships three times.

This day consists of the following:

9:00-11:00 am, Session Three (all ages)

1:00-3:30 pm, Session Four (all ages)

5:00-7:00 pm, live practice (high school only)

Additionally, July 9, there is an optional camp activity. This is a hike up Mount Nebo. It is encouraged that parents attend. Those interested should meet at 7:00 pm at the Monument North Peak Trailhead.

The cost is $100. Cash, check or Venmo will be accepted.
