MANHEIM, Pa.-Per a Friday announcement, Juab High School wrestling coach Joel Holman has been named as the National Wrestling Coaches Association Utah Boys High School Coach of the Year award.
Holman, who has led the Wasps to four consecutive 3-A state wrestling titles, also became a finalist for the NWCA Section 7 Coach of the Year award.
Among Holman’s achievements this year are making Juab the highest placing team at the Rockwell Rumble.
This is considered by many to be the deepest and toughest tournament in Utah. The team had an impressive seven state champions in 2020 as well.
The NWCA’s Scholastic Coach of the Year Award honors coaches who work tirelessly on behalf of their athletes.
