GARDEN CITY, Idaho-James Smyth and Kobe Lopez each drove in a pair of runs and the Boise Hawks downed Ogden 9-4 Thursday at Memorial Stadium in Pioneer League play.

Ian Kahaloa earned the win on the mound for Boise, by posting eight strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work.

Jesus Valdez and Freddy Achecar each drove in two runs for the Raptors in the loss. In defeat, Ogden saw its 3-game winning streak snapped as they fell to 4-3. Boise improves to 3-5 with the victory.

The Raptors and Hawks resume their series Friday at 7:00 pm at Memorial Stadium.
