Former Utah State Football Star Clyde Brock Named To Canadian Football Hall of Fame Class of 2020

HAMILTON, Ontario, Canada-Per a Thursday announcement, former Utah State football standout Clyde Brock was named to the Canadian Football Hall of Fame’s class of 2020.

Brock, an offensive lineman who starred for former Aggies coach John Ralston in 1959, was a staple on the offensive line for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League for 12 seasons (1964-1975).

Brock was a four-time CFL All-star (1966-1969) as well as a five-time Division All-Star (1965-1969).

Brock played a role on the Roughriders’ first Grey Cup-winning squad (the CFL’s equivalent of the Super Bowl) in 1966 as Saskatchewan bested Ottawa 29-14 at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Brock has also been inducted into the SaskTel Plaza of Honour, one of Saskatchewan’s most prominent sports receptions as part of the class of 1995.

The Canadian Football Hall of Fame’s enshrinement ceremony, initially slated for August 14 at Hamilton, Ontario, Canada has since been postponed to 2021 because of covid-19.
