SOUTHAMPTON, Pa.-Monday, Utah graduate senior quarterback Cameron Rising and Utah State senior receiver Jalen Royals were named to represent the Beehive State on the Maxwell Football Watch List.

This award is annually bestowed upon the most outstanding player in college football.

Rising, who did not play last season for the Utes, has completed 64 percent of his passes for 5,572 yards, 46 touchdowns and 14 interceptions during his career at Utah (2020-present).

Royals amassed 71 receptions for 1,080 yards and 15 touchdowns last season for the Aggies.

Semifinalists for the award will be announced November 12 and three finalists will be revealed November 26.

The winner will be honored December 12 as part of the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show.

Utah and Utah State each had a representative on the Mannelly Award Watch List Monday. This award is annually bestowed upon the top long snapper in college football.

The Utes are represented by junior JT Greep and the Aggies by graduate senior Jacob Garcia.
