(Salt Lake City, UT) — The world’s largest prosthetic company is partnering with the University of Utah to help those who have lost all or part of their legs. German manufacturer Ottobock has reached an agreement with the university’s College of Engineering for future development of the “Bionic Leg.” The device has been called the world’s most advanced leg prosthesis, combining robotic, artificial intelligence and neural engineering to help restore mobility for amputees. The university says the partnership will help combine the cutting-edge research with industrial expertise to help get the technology to more people.
