Utah’s Vape Ban Takes Effect, Threatening Local Businesses

(Salt Lake City, UT) — As of yesterday, nearly all vape products are now illegal in Utah following a law passed last year. The law bans flavored vapes, those with more than 4-percent nicotine, and any products not approved by the FDA. This affects popular brands like Juul and Vuse. Only 72 products from six manufacturers remain legal in the state. Vape shop owners had challenged the law, arguing it would decimate their businesses, but a U.S. District Judge ruled on Monday that the ban could now be enforced.
