(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah’s outdoor economy continues to show growth. The Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation released the economic impact report this month for the year 2022, showing more than eight-billion dollars in economic output. That’s a more than 32-percent increase from the year before and accounts for more than three percent of the state’s GDP. Officials also noted outdoor recreation accounted for more than 71-thousand jobs in Utah and paid out more than three-and-a-half-billion dollars in wages. The top three industries from 2022 were snow activities, RVing, and fishing and boating.
