(Salt Lake City, UT) — The state of Utah continues to have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the nation. The Department of Workforce Services announced yesterday that the state’s unemployment rate dropped to two-point-two-percent in January. The seasonally-adjusted rate was down slightly from December’s numbers. The department’s chief economist said in a statement that adjustments to last year’s rates made January’s number the lowest unemployment rate in state history.
