The hearing had been scheduled for today but will be rescheduled for a later date. Petito’s family is trying to revive a wrongful-death claim accusing officers of failing to act after a witness reported her fiancé, Brian Laundrie, struck her during a 2021 incident. Petito was later found dead in Wyoming, and her family is seeking 50-million-dollars in damages. Authorities say Laundrie killed the 22-year-old while the couple was traveling across the country.
