(Cedar City, UT) — The 2023 Utah Shakespeare Festival is underway at Southern Utah University. The festival opened Wednesday night with a preview of West Side Story, followed by previews of Jane Austen’s Emma and Williams Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream on Thursday. A preview of Raisin in the Sun is set for 2 p.m. today in the Randall L. Jones Theatre, and West Side Story opens at 8 p.m. in the Englestad Shakespeare Theatre. A Midsummer Night’s Dream opens at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Englestad Shakespeare Theatre. The 2023 Utah Shakespeare Festival runs October 7th. Information is available online at bard.org.
