(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah District 4 Representative Kera Birkeland announced her resignation, effective January 10th, citing the need to focus on family and professional commitments. Her resignation comes days before the legislative session begins on January 21st. Birkeland, whose district includes Daggett, Duchesne, Morgan, Rich, and Summit counties, expressed that her family and work obligations have increasingly demanded her attention. She urged her successor to continue advocating for tax relief, government accountability, election integrity, and other priorities for District 4.
