Utah parents arrested in death of 3-year-old daughter

OGDEN, Utah (AP) — A northern Utah couple has been arrested on suspicion of child abuse homicide after police found their three-year-old daughter dead in their home.

Odgen Police said Friday in a news release that evidence shows 3-year-old Angelina Costello died from abusive trauma.

The 25-year-old Miller Costello and 22-year-old Brenda Emile were arrested Friday on suspicion of child abuse homicide.

They called 911 on Thursday to report their daughter was unconscious and not breathing. The girl was dead when police arrived to the family home.

Authorities removed two other siblings from the house and gave them to state child protective services.

It’s unknown if the suspects have attorneys. No listed phone number was found for them.

Online Utah court records don’t show criminal history for either of them.
