(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah’s attorney general is joining with more than 30 other attorneys general in calling on Congress to modernize antitrust laws for big tech companies. Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes signed onto a joint letter with 31 other attorneys general that says they want to protect consumers from unlawful and irresponsible mergers and business practices, and to facilitate competition and innovation. Reyes’ office says the bottom line is the world keeps changing. They added that the antitrust laws need to be updated because competition is decreasing in some sections, technology is constantly changing, and there is room for more robust antitrust enforcement.
