(Salt Lake City, UT) — A bill that would require those living in student housing at Utah’s public universities to stay in gender-assigned areas is advancing. The measure would mean those in dorms would have to live only in areas designated for the sex they were assigned at birth. That changes guidelines for trans students on campus. The legislation now heads to the State Senate for a vote.
