Structure Fire in Mt. Pleasant

Just after noon on Feb. 8, authorities responded to a structure fire in Mt. Pleasant  near the corner of 400 South and State Street. When they arrived they discovered that an enclosed porch on the back of a residence was in flames. The Mt. Pleasant Fire Department worked alongside the Spring City Fire department to put out the blaze before it caused any damage to the home. The porch suffered significant damage and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. According to authorities no wrongdoing is suspected.
