(Zion National Park, UT) — Part of State Route 9 will be closed in Zion National Park for improvements starting today. A majority of the work will be at night and is not expected to impact daytime visitors. Work will last through next week and the Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway will be closed, meaning long detours on state Highways 20 and 14 in Utah or state Highway 59 and 389 to the south in Utah and Arizona.
