(Marysvale, UT) — The Silver King wildfire is now seven percent contained today as 678 personnel are fighting the major blaze. A fleet of tankers and helicopters are working from the air to try and slow the progress of the wildfire which was sparked by lightning on Sunday, July 5th. The wildfire has grown to more than 17-thousand-500 acres as of yesterday morning. The Fishlake National Forest has issued a full closure order. The U.S. Department of Agriculture notes that the closure area starts at the junction of I-70 and Fish Creek, and proceeds east along the south side of I-70 to the south side of Castle Rock Campground.
