(Salt Lake City, UT) — The president of the state Senate is getting mixed results from COVID-19 tests he took on the first day of the new session. Republican Senator J. Stuart Adams tested positive for the virus last week after he began showing symptoms related to COVID-19. He isolated for five days before the start of the session. He tested negative Monday night, but took additional tests yesterday. He tested positive twice, then had another negative test result last night. A statement from his office said mixed results are not uncommon after recovering from COVID and that a positive result does not mean Adams is contagious.
