(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints says the ongoing renovation work on Temple Square will take an additional year to complete. Church leaders announced yesterday that the renovations won’t be finished until 2026. Construction began in 2019, with crews working carefully around the historic structure to install new seismic-dampening infrastructure to protect the temple from earthquakes.
