(Salt Lake City, UT) – It’s going to take a bit longer than expected to renovate a Salt Lake City landmark. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced yesterday that work on the historic Salt Lake Temple will take an additional year to complete. The building is being modified to improve its overall condition and help it withstand seismic events like earthquakes. Church officials say additions to the project will delay completion until 2025.
