Both school districts in Sanpete County will be under new leadership beginning this fall.  As previously reported, Sam Ray is retiring as superintendent in the North Sanpete School District.  Nan Ault, the current principal at North Sanpete High School, will take his place.  And at the South Sanpete School Board meeting on January 14, Ralph Squire was approved to be the new South Sanpete School District Superintendent.   He will replace Kent Larsen, who has served in that position since 2013.  Squire has served as the Assistant Superintendent for the past seven years.  The new Assistant Superintendent will be Trevor Powell, the current Gunnison Valley High School Principal.

The Board also approved hiring Jake Hill as the new Business Administrator for the district, replacing Paul Gottfredson, who has served for 35 years in the district.  And Leslie Taysom will be the new Accounting Director, the position previously held by Hill.

The district is currently accepting applications for the Gunnison Valley High School principal position.
