(Salt Lake City, UT) – A lawsuit filed against the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been dismissed. James Huntsman sued the church for the return of five-million dollars in tithes. He claimed officials committed fraud by using the money for commercial endeavors, saying they had promised not to do so. The “Deseret News” reports an appeals court is upholding a previous ruling dismissing the case in 2021, saying “we as courts are not here to emcee religious disputes.”
