LDS Church Announces 15 New Temples As General Conference Concludes

(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is planning to build 15 new temples in cities around the world. The Church concluded its spring General Conference yesterday by announcing the location of the new temples. Among the nine international locations are temples in Guatemala, Peru, the Philippines, Germany, Indonesia, Canada and Brazil. Plans for U.S. temples include sites in California, Missouri, Virginia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. The Church now has 315 temples that are announced, operating or under construction.
