(St. George, UT) — Gas prices are holding steady across Utah as the New Year approaches. Triple-A reports the average price for a gallon of unleaded was three dollars and five cents as of yesterday afternoon. That’s about the same as it’s been for the month of December, but it is about 15 cents more than what Utahns were paying this time last year. Southern Utah counties have some of the highest prices in the state, including San Juan at three-38 and Beaver at three-31.
