Due to the France Canyon Fire, Garkane Energy has announced planned power shutoffs. Power will flicker or go out briefly for many members across the system. For customers in Spry, Duck Creek and nearby mountain areas, the power could be off for up to eight hours. According to a press release, “the fire has not yet damaged the line, but it is getting dangerously close.” The planned power outage will begin at 8:30 a.m. today and is expected to be restored in the evening around 8:00 p.m., but may vary for safety concerns for the firefighters.
