(Pine Valley, UT) — Residents of Pine Valley, Grass Valley, and Grassy Flats will be allowed to return home starting at 10:00 a.m. today as evacuation orders are downgraded from “Go” to “Set” status. Only residents will be allowed past the soft road closure, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Dixie National Forest closures remain in effect until July 31st, and officials are urging residents to stay off trails and avoid early morning driving due to thick smoke. Crews hope expected rain next week will improve access to wilderness areas.
