(Big Water, UT) — Visits and revenue at Lake Powell are down. The National Park Service says the period that runs from June to September had 133-thousand fewer visitors than it did last year. Visitation is also down at three national parks in Utah. Lake Powell has seen its water level drop, and so has the cash flow. Business owners tell KUTV that revenue is down by at least 50 percent and they’re seeing fewer visitors from Canada and Europe.
