First night of Manti pageant sees large crowd

The opening night for the final season of the Manti Mormon Miracle Pageant was a success with over 13,000 people viewing the performance.  Visitors began arriving early in the day, and by the time the pageant began at 9:30 p.m., many had settled into one of the 15,000 folding chairs that have been set up on the temple lawn.  With a cast of 1,400 performers, the crowds aren’t the only thing that is larger than past years.  Pageant performances continue through June 22, except for Sunday and Monday.
