The groundbreaking ceremony for the Ephraim Utah Temple will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022. Elder Walter F. Gonzalez of the Quorum of the Seventy will preside at the event. The Ephraim Utah Temple will be built on a 9.16-acre site located at the intersection of 200 North and 400 East in Ephraim, Utah. Plans call for a three-story temple of approximately 39,000 square feet. This temple, first announced by President Russell M. Nelson in May 2021, will join 27 other temples in Utah currently in operation, under construction, or under renovation. The Ephraim Utah Temple will serve more than 31,000 Latter-day Saints in this temple district.

Attendance at both groundbreaking ceremonies will be by invitation only.
