Just before 3:30 p.m. on May 9 the Sanpete County Sheriff’s office received a call about a small plane that had landed around 1.5 miles west of the old Mount Pleasant airport.

According to Sanpete County Sheriff Detective Derick Taysom, “the pilot believed they were having a medical issue so they landed the plane as quickly and as safely as possible.”

When authorities arrived the pilot was conscious and alert and was transported via AirMed to be evaluated for any medical conditions.

The FAA has been notified of the incident and will conduct their own investigation.
