(Kane County, UT) — According to utahfireinfo.gov the Deer Springs Fire is above 11-thousand-400 acres in size and is 22-percent contained as of this morning. The fire was discovered Sunday afternoon on Bureau of Land Management land in the Deer Springs area south of Bryce Canyon in Kane County. Utah Fire Info officials say human activity may have sparked the fire but the cause is still under investigation. Over 150 fire personnel are at the scene creating a fire line on both flanks of the blaze.
