(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Cox wants Utahns to help state leaders plan for Utah’s growth. Cox on Thursday launched the “Guiding Our Growth” survey, asking people throughout the state how they want to see Utah develop in the coming years. The survey is tailored to people’s zip codes and growth varies from one part of the state to another. The University of Utah’s Kem C. Gardner Institute estimates the state’s population will grow from the current three-point-four million to five and-a-half million by 2060. Southwestern Utah and the Wasatch Front are the state’s major growth areas.
