(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Spencer Cox is speaking out about security upgrades being made at his home in Fairview. Governor Cox took to Twitter yesterday after a Salt Lake Tribune report about fencing and, gates and a security office being planned for his private home. The project will be paid for with taxpayer money through a bill approved by the legislature last year. Cox tweeted that the Department of Public Safety has serious concerns about threats made against the governor and his wife. The governor said he refused to accept more expensive plans, and that details have not been published as a security precaution.
