The Bureau of Land Management will offer a competitive lease by sealed bid of approximately 120 acres containing an estimated 1.29 million tons of recoverable federal coal within the Little Eccles Tract near Skyline Mine in Emery County. This action supports Executive Order 14241, and responds to the application submitted by Canyon Fuel Company, LLC. Christina Price, BLM Utah’s deputy state director for land and minerals stated, “this project strengthens national energy security and will provide a boost to the local economy. We are proud to be a part of the effort to provide Americans with an affordable, supply of domestic energy.” Sealed bids must be sent by certified mail, return receipt requested, to the collections officer, BLM Utah State Office, or be hand-delivered to the BLM public room contact representatives at the Utah State Office, 440 West 200 South, Suite 500, Salt Lake City, Utah 84101.
