(Salt Lake City, UT) — Flight reductions at 40 major airports continue even after a potential deal was reached in Congress. Salt Lake City International Airport is among the airports that started seeing flight reductions on Friday. Last night, the U.S. Senate approved a plan to reopen the government, but it still needs House and presidential approval. Until then, the government will remain closed. The longest federal government shutdown in history has left air traffic controllers unpaid and often calling in sick.
