(Cedar City, UT) — A nearly 900-acre site near Cedar City is where Utah’s first rural inland port will be built. The Utah Inland Port Authority unanimously voted to approve the creation of the Iron Springs Project Area west of Cedar City. According to a Port Authority release, the board expects its vote on April 4th “will provide a significant generational economic boost to Cedar City and surrounding areas.” Executive Director Ben Hart said the project is expected to have positive economic impacts throughout Southwestern Utah.
