3.0 earthquake hits parts of southern Utah

PANGUITCH, Utah (AP) — A minor earthquake hit parts of southern Utah on Friday morning. The U.S. Geological Survey says the 3.0 magnitude quake was centered about 7 miles west of Panguitch. It happened at about 6:40 a.m. Quakes of that magnitude are among the smallest generally felt by people.
