BRIAN HEAD, Utah (AP)-Per a report from the National Weather Service’s Salt Lake City bureau, S.R. 143 (Parowan Canyon, Brian Head, Panguitch Lake) has been closed because of a mudslide.
Further reporting from both NWS Salt Lake City and KUTV meteorologist Lindsay Storrs states that this was caused by a lingering burn scar from the Brian Head fire this past June.
Also, an urgent flash flood warning, per NWS Salt Lake City exists for a debris flow impacting Parowan Creek through 6:15 pm MDT Sunday evening.
