(Iron County, UT) — The Iron County sheriff’s deputy involved in a shooting on Christmas Eve will be back at work this week.
Deputy Beau Johnson’s return to work follows the county attorney’s finding yesterday that he was justified in using deadly force against Benjamin Wilcken.
The Spectrum reports Johnson fired at Wilcken after the 38-year-old reportedly threatened him with a knife after coming out of a garage he had barricaded himself in.
Wilcken was wearing body armor at the time and wasn’t hurt.
