(Cedar City, UT) — A driver was airlifted in serious condition yesterday after their SUV crashed nose-first into an irrigation ditch in Cedar City. Police say the SUV swerved to avoid a turning vehicle and veered off the road near Highway 56 and Airport Road, landing about 25 feet from the highway. The driver was extricated through the windshield and flown to St. George Regional Hospital. The other driver sustained minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
