HOUSTON-Wednesday, Utah junior defensive end Jonah Elliss was named as a semifinalist for the Lombardi Award.

This is annually awarded to the FBS offensive or defensive lineman who best exemplifies the character and discipline of Pro Football Hall of Famer Vince Lombardi.

Elliss has 10 sacks, a forced fumble and a pass breakup on the season for the Utes.

Elliss and his Utah teammates return to action Saturday by hosting Arizona State at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
