Masen Wake Retires From Football

PROVO, Utah-Per his Twitter account Thursday, BYU star tight end Masen Wake has retired from football.

Throughout his career with the Cougars, the former Lone Peak High School star fullback recorded 32 receptions for 304 yards and two scoring catches. He posted four overall touchdowns for the Cougars from 2019-2022.

The Cougars plan to replace Wake with junior tight end/fullback Mason Fakahua.

BYU begins its season September 2 by hosting FBS newcomer Sam Houston at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
