OKLAHOMA CITY-Thursday, Utah and Utah State football were represented on the Jim Thorpe Preseason Award Watch List. This award is annually presented to the top defensive back in FBS college football.

Utah is represented by junior safety Cole Bishop and Utah State by sophomore safety Ike Larsen.

Bishop, a native of Peachtree City, Ga., recorded one interception, 1.5 sacks and 6 tackles for a loss last season for the Utes.

Last season, Larsen, a native of Smithfield, Utah and a former Sky View High School star, recorded four interceptions (including a pick six), two sacks and three tackles for a loss last season.
