Region 12
CASTLE DALE, Utah-Kaden Chidester stepped up with 15 points and 8 rebounds on 6-11 from the field as the Richfield Wildcats got past Emery 49-45 in Region 12 boys basketball play Friday at the Spartan Center.
The Wildcats overcame a slow start with a 30-20 surge in the 2nd half to close the game and improve to 7-10 and 3-2 in Region 12 play with the victory.
Luke Justice’s 12 points led the Spartans in the loss. Emery falls to 5-12 and 2-3 in Region 12 play in defeat.
Richfield next hosts Grand Wednesday as the Wildcats’ Region 12 season ensues.
Emery is next in action February 4 as they visit Canyon View.
Region 14
MANTI, Utah-Larson Pogroszewski led the way with 16 points and the Manti Templars hammered Delta 85-53 in Region 14 boys basketball action Friday. Cai Henderson and Wayland Crane had 14 points apiece in the loss for the Rabbits.
NEPHI, Utah-Carter Lynn stepped up with 16 points and the Juab Wasps humbled Union 59-53 Friday in Region 14 boys basketball play. Grady Gardner’s 16 points led the Cougars in the loss.
Region 16
DUCHESNE, Utah-Dallin Porter led the way with 14 points and the Duchesne Eagles humbled North Sevier 35-30 Friday in Region 16 boys basketball play. Ethan Fielding had 13 points for the Wolves in defeat.
COALVILLE, Utah-Hunter Rhodes posted 28 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and the Millard Eagles routed North Summit 79-59 in Region 16 boys basketball play Friday. Trey Pace led the way in defeat with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the Braves in the loss.
Region 19
MONROE, Utah-Emilio Miramontes netted 21 points and 5 rebounds and the South Sevier Rams pummeled Beaver 65-32 Friday in Region 19 boys basketball play. Tate Gale led the Beavers in defeat with 7 points.
PAROWAN, Utah-Brock Felder stepped up with 26 points and the Parowan Rams overpowered Kanab 68-50 in Region 19 boys basketball play Friday. Jordan Cornell’s 18 points led the Cowboys in the loss.
