USU QB Logan Bonner Named As Manning Award Star of the Week

LOGAN, Utah-Monday, Utah State quarterback Logan Bonner was named as one of eight Manning Award “stars of the week” after leading the Aggies to a 51-31 win over Hawaii.

Bonner, a graduate junior out of Rowlett, Texas, leads the Mountain West Conference and is 15th nationally in yards per completion (14.2) and ranks 16th nationally with 2.13 touchdown passes per game.

In the win over the Rainbow Warriors, Bonner completed 21 of 30 passes for 361 yards and four touchdowns for the Aggies.

This was Bonner’s fourth career 300-yard passing game, including his second at Utah State.

Houston junior Clayton Tune (27-37, 412 yards, 4 TD’s) in the Cougars’ 44-37 win over Southern Methodist

Miami (Fla.) freshman Tyler Van Dyke (32-42, 426 yards, 3 TD’s/INT) in the Hurricanes’ 38-34 win over Pittsburgh

Oklahoma freshman Caleb Williams (23-30, 402 yards, 6 TD’s) in the Sooners’ 52-21 win over Texas Tech

Western Kentucky graduate senior Bailey Zappe (33-45, 393 yards, 4 TD’s/2 INT’s) in the Hilltoppers’ 45-13 win over Charlotte.
