Effective at 5:00 p.m. June 10 a mandatory evacuation is in effect for Aspen Cove in Schofield. The evacuation is due to extreme fire behavior and winds pushing the Bennion Creek Fire towards the community. All residence are asked to leave immediately and the public is asked to remain clear of the area for public and firefighter safety.
As of the morning of June 14, the fire has burned just over 7,724 acres and is ten percent contained.
