FARMINGTON, Utah-Thursday, Weber State men’s basketball sophomore forward Dillon Jones was named to the all-Big Sky Conference preseason team by head coaches from around the conference.
Jones averaged 12.6 points and 10.6 rebounds per game for the Wildcats last season and netted 17 double-doubles. He ranked 10th nationally last season in double-doubles.
Last season, Jones, a native of Columbia, S.C., earned second-team All-Big Sky honors and second-team All-District honors.
Jones is joined on the all-Big Sky team by preseason conference MVP, Montana State junior forward/center Jubrile Belo, Northern Colorado senior point guard Daylen Kountz, Eastern Washington junior forward Steele Venters, Montana junior forward Josh Bannan and Northern Arizona senior point guard Jalen Cone.
The Wildcats begin the regular season November 7 at Washington.
